Wojciech Szczurek

Mayor of Gdynia – Wojciech Szczurek born in 1963. Since 1998 the Mayor of the City of Gdynia, became leader of the new local political group called ‘Samorządność’ (‘Self-government’). Graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk, where he also received his doctoral degree, worked as an assessor and later as a judge at the Regional Court in Gdynia, member of the Senate of the Academy of International Economic and Political Relations and of the Programme Council of the Gdansk Institute for Market Economics’ Centre for Baltic Studies.
